Technology made us depressed?

April 29, 2018 0 comments Article Life

I’ve encountered many people in my life who knew very less of latest technologies, the basis of the body, regarding cholesterol. These people are mostly from a poor background and do not have a comfort of an office. Unlike most of us, they are least concerned about the cooking oil we use, the headaches we have and they do not know that Google can answer: if we should even avoid too many fats.

But trust me, these people are very much happy both physically and mentally. If we suddenly have our heart beat fast, and we feel scared, well we just take our smartphones and start searching for the reasons behind such discomfort, and finally, we arrived at a conclusion that we must visit a psychiatrist, so now the journey of medicines starts. These people, they are so busy earning their daily bread and butter that even if they have one panic attack, they just ignore thinking their stomach is upset.

We people have so much of un-filtered information that it made our life so hard. Let put it this way, there is a repeat telecast of an all-time best tv-show. You liked the first episode so much that now you just spend 2 hours daily on some apps watching the remaining episodes. and now you’re bored. For a person who has no idea of such app, will eagerly wait a week to watch just another episode and he is happy.

It’s very simple, people like us have the knowledge to earn money and our daily comfort, perhaps we have a car, we go for vacation but see those people, they do not have all such things. What stops them from being depressed? Our condition is like an addict. At first 1mg of dose gave the kick. But now we need 2mg or we’re depressed, later we need 10mg and this goes on.

These social media gives us happiness more than actual daily recommended dose. That’s a dangerous thing.

We just over-dose happiness and now we are depressed.  Yes, technology made our life easier but like drugs, we are abusing it by overusing it.
